Further cycle parking planned for Victoria

We have seen plans for additional cycle parking on railway property at Victoria Station.

32 stands (64 spaces) are planned for the front of the station. Two-tier racks with spaces for 120 cycles are planned for the rear of the station, on the roof.

Until now, cycle parking provision at Victoria has lagged behind other Central London stations like Waterloo, Paddington and Marylebone. The new stands will go some way towards meeting this deficiency. Those at the rear will be convenient for users of Cycle Superhighway 5, which is expected to go over Eccleston Bridge at the rear of the station, avoiding the notorious Victoria gyratory system.

We have not had any indication of when the stands are likely to appear.
